Scheduled backup does not run at the scheduled time.

plesk-backup-manager-task is missing or file is empty

In order to create scheduled backups Plesk creates cron task in the following directory:

[root@server ~]# ll /etc/cron.d/plesk-backup-manager-task

Make sure that file exists and it is not empty(one line):

[root@server ~]# ls -la /etc/cron.d/plesk-backup-manager-task
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 Jun  6 10:37 /etc/cron.d/plesk-backup-manager-task

If it is missing create new one with text editor with following content:

0,15,30,45      *       *       *       *       root [ -x /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/backupmng ] && /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/backupmng >/dev/null 2>&1

Make sure that file has correct ownership root:root and permissions 644:

[root@server ~]# chown root:root /etc/cron.d/plesk-backup-manager-task
[root@server ~]# chmod 644 /etc/cron.d/plesk-backup-manager-task
