Plesk Panel site shows error: 503 Service Unavailable. In Event Viewer, the following error may appear:

    The worker process for application pool 'PleskControlPanel' encountered an error 'Cannot read configuration file ' trying to read configuration data from file '\\?\<EMPTY>', line number '0'.  The data field contains the error code.


Plesk configuration file PleskControlPanel.config is corrupted in C:\inetpub\temp\appPools\PleskControlPanel.


  1. Rename PleskControlPanel.config in C:\inetpub\temp\appPools\PleskControlPanel.

  2. Use Plesk Reconfigurator->Repair Plesk Installation->Check Plesk Services.
