When using AWStats, every time a daily statistics task is completed, I receive an email with the error:

Running task: C:\Program Files (x86)\Parallels\Plesk\admin\bin\web_statistics_executor.exe
Started: <date>
Ended with code -1073741819: <date>

This error can also be seen in Event Viewer for Plesk.

-1073741819 is the result of 64-bit signed binary expansion of error code 0xC0000005 which stands for generic access violation (also known as segmentation fault).

Most likely it is caused by temporary log file (file name like web20140803114435327(s).log) not being deleted from within virtual host's log directory when previous statistics calculation was performed.

  1. Inspect in the Event Viewer (for Plesk) and determine which domain causes the statistics calculation to stop.

  2. Find the domain's log folder:

    "%plesk_bin%\websrvmng.exe" --get-vhost-log-dir --vhost-name=domain.tld
  3. Open it in Explorer and delete the aforementioned files (anything that matches web<DATETIME>.log pattern). Do NOT delete any other files from this directory.

  4. Perform all steps from this article (on step 3, delete the file which corresponds to the current month).

  5. Check that the web stats have been updated and run the daily statistics task again to make sure it now completes without error.
