Mail data location was changed using Parallels Plesk Reconfigurator:
After upgrade of MailEnable, mail data location gets reset and mail services become inaccessible.
MailEnable sets default mail data location during upgrade. This is default behavior of MailEnable and is also reproducible on standalone MailEnable installations without Plesk.
When Plesk Reconfigurator changes the mail data folder location, it performs 3 actions:
- Copies content to a new directory.
- Change MailEnable settings in registry (see below).
- Fix permissions for a new data folder.
When MailEnable update script is run, it only does the second action (changing the settings to default ones).
Assuming that Reconfigurator already performed steps 1 and 3, it is only needed to correct registry settings after update.
Correct the following registry keys and set the proper filesystem path (the one you specified in Plesk reconfigurator earlier):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Mail Enable\Mail Enable\Mail Root HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Mail Enable\Mail Enable\Connectors\SF\Mail Root Directory HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Mail Enable\Mail Enable\Services\POP\Mail Root Directory
After that restart all MailEnable services via Plesk services management.
