How to configure DNS zones for domains if Plesk 12.0 is running behind the NAT?

  1. Install the 'NAT Manager' extension:

    • Go to Plesk > Extensions > Extensions Catalog
  2. Match internal IP addresses with appropriate external IP addresses:

    • Go to Plesk > Extensions
    • Click on NAT Manager
    • Select private IP address and add appropriate external IP
  3. All 'A' records in the DNS zone for newly created domains will be matched to the appropriate external IP.

  4. For existing domains, you need to apply your DNS changes:

    • Go to Plesk > Domains > > Websites & Domains > DNS Settings
    • Click on Apply DNS Template Changes

The other possible solution is described in the Knoweldgebase article #1984
