The suspend operation fails with the following error:
# vzctl suspend 101 Setting up checkpoint... suspend... Unable to create the hardlink directory //.cpt_hardlink_dir_a920e4ddc233afddc9fb53d26c392319: No space left on device Failed to checkpoint the Container
There is no free space left in the container:
CT-101-bash-3.2# df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/ploop16633p1 962M 946M 0 100% / none 128M 4.0K 128M 1% /dev
The behavior is recognized as product bug with id PSBM-28663.
The permanent fix will be included in one of the future product updates.
As a workaround it is possible to create the required directory before the suspend operation:
# vzctl exec 101 mkdir .cpt_hardlink_dir_a920e4ddc233afddc9fb53d26c392319 # vzctl suspend 101 Setting up checkpoint... suspend... dump... kill... Checkpointing finished successfully Unmount image: /vz/private/101/root.hdd Container is unmounted
