Webspace directory for subdomain is not created when adding a subdomain in Plesk admin Panel;

There are no any error or warning in Plesk interface.


Incorrect permissions are set for the subdomains webspace directory.


  1. Correct the permissions the following way:

    chown user:psaserv /var/www/vhosts/domain.tld/subdomains

where user is an operating system user for managing files and folders within the webspace (you can find the correct system user under Websites & Domains > Web Hosting Access)


# chown user:psaserv /var/www/vhosts/
# ls -ld /var/www/vhosts/
drwxr-xr-x 16 user psaserv 4096 Oct 31 19:48 /var/www/vhosts/
  1. If you want to correct permissions of subdomains directories of all subscriptions, you can run the following command (provided the permissions of the parent directories i.e. the vhost directories of the domains are correct) :

    # ll /var/www/vhosts/*/ -d | awk '{printf("chown %s %ssubdomains/ \n", $3,$9)}'
