Restore of the container from backup in custom location fails with "Backup info is not available":

> vzarestore 100500 -b e5cfa74f-00f6-35be-beef-f997e9adf28f/20141207010210 --backup-folder-path /storage/win2k8r2/ --storage <username>:<password>@
Restore environment 100500 from backup: e5cfa74f-00f6-35be-beef-f997e9adf28f/20141207010210
Backup e5cfa74f-00f6-3be-beef-f997e9adf28f/20141207010210 info is not available.

Issue takes place when restoring a backup which was created in custom location by vzabackup with "--backup-folder-path" option, e.g.:

> vzabackup --backup-folder-path /storage/win2k8r2/ localhost -e 1001

This case recognized as a product issue with internal ID PVA-34243

The issue is fixed permanently since Parallels Virtual Automation 6.1 Update 1

Workaround for PVA Agent versions before 6.0-2695:

  1. Check the current default backup-path:

    [root@node ~]# vzabackup --view-folder localhost
    path = /vz/backups/
    login =
  2. Change default backup-path to the directory where the backup is located:

    [root@node ~]# vzabackup --set-folder --backup-folder-path /storage/win2k8r2 localhost
    [root@node ~]# vzabackup --view-folder localhost
    path = /storage/win2k8r2
    login =
  3. Run restore command without specifying backup folder path:

    C:\Users\Administrator>vzarestore -B -e e5cfa74f-00f6-35be-beef-f997e9adf28f/20141207010210 --storage root:XXXXXXX@
  4. After restore was finished - revert the changes:

    [root@node ~]# vzabackup --set-folder --backup-folder-path /vz/backups/ localhost
    [root@node ~]# vzabackup --view-folder localhost
    path = /vz/backups/
    login =
    [root@node ~]#
