The article describes several limitations of Dell vWorkspace 1.5 APS 2.0 Package:

  1. Potentially during bulk import or 3 or more concurrent requests, Dell vWorkspace will experience task failures.

  2. vWorkspace in the current release supports PVC for Windows as a “basic” PVC template for the Windows Operating System only, with no Application Templates supported.

  3. The download link for PowerShell module version 8.0.306.0041 is missing from the documentation, as it is not publicly available yet.

  1. The limitation is due to the PowerShell architecture, which is used for the vWorkspace API's. If three or more concurrent requests are in process and more tasks are submitted, a failure will occur.
In order to resolve issues due to this limitation:

    1. Parallels Automation will attempt to re-run failed tasks for up to 5 attempts.
    2. Tasks that remain in a failed state after automated retry should be re-ran by the provider. Provider should re-run tasks one by one, in order to avoid new tasks’ failing.
  2. Dell is working to resolve this issue, and the patch will be released for vWorkspace in the near future.

  3. Providers utilizing the vWorkspace APS 2.0 package should send an email request to in order to receive download instructions .
