Resolution

I'm getting the below errors when trying to add/remove domains or manage DNS on my FreeBSD 5.3 server. On the page where I created the Domain, I get this error:

Failed Domain Creation Unable to update domain data Unable to create the DNS zone for domain.
dnsmng failed, dnsmng:/usr/sbin/rndc execution failed rndc:connect failedConnection refused dnsmng: Error during reload

On the hosting setup page, I get this error:

Unable to assign variables for PHostingForm: Unable to get hardquota state: dnsmng: /usr/sbin/rndc execution failed: rndc: connect failed: connection refused dnsmng: Error during rndc 'reload' 0: /usr/local/psa/admin/htdocs/domains/hosting/phosting_setup.php:290 psaerror(string "Unable to assign variables for PHostingForm: Unable to get hardquota state: dnsmng: /usr/sbin/rndc execution failed: rndc: connect failed: connection refused dnsmng: Error during rndc 'reload'

Please make sure that named is enabled on your FreeBSD server. There are should be records in /etc/rc.conf :

named_enable="YES"
named_pidfile="/var/run/named/named.pid"
named_flags="-u bind -c /etc/named.conf"
named_chrootdir="/usr/local/psa/named/run-root"
