How to change default vhosts location in Plesk for Windows?


  • To change vhosts location:

    1. Open Plesk Reconfigurator from start menu as Administrator.
    2. Choose Change Virtual Hosts location and provide the exact location where you want to move the vhosts data
    3. Click OK and Plesk Reconfigurator will transfer all data. All newly created websites will be automatically placed in the specified folder

    Note: If you need to use Plesk default templates (default webpage, error pages and etc.) you need also to copy the directory '.skel' and content from previous vhosts location: "C:\Inetpub\vhosts\.skel" to the new one, for example: "E:\IIS_hosts\.skel"
