Subdomain creation fails with error:

    Error: WebServerManager::addVhost() failed: websrvmng failed: Access is denied. (Error code 5) at GetLongPathName('C:\inetpub\vhosts\domain.tld\home\client\subdomain') 


The folder C:\inetpub\vhosts\domain.tld\home\client\subdomain is not accessible. Not only by Plesk service, Windows Explorer also was not able to open it.

It may be caused by several reasons:

  1. The server is the virtual environment and some links are broken.
  2. Virus infection.
  3. File system corruption. Issue with NTFS permissions.


Make sure that phisical folder is accessible with Windows Explorer. Check and fix the above possible reasons with the help of System Administrator.
