When switching PHP versions for domain, the following message appears at the top of the screen:

Error: Permission denied

/var/log/plesk/panel.log contains the following error:

#0 {main}

[26-Mar-2015 16:51:59 Europe/Berlin] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'UnknownError' with message 'Unknown error' in [no active file]:0
Stack trace:

Incorrect permissions in /var/lock/lmlib/container_locks directory. This is Plesk internal issue with ID #PPPM-2712, that is planned to be fixed in future Plesk updates.

Remove /var/lock/lmlib/container_locks directory and clear temporary files in /usr/local/psa/var/cache/ directory:

# rm -rf /var/lock/lmlib/container_locks
# rm -f /usr/local/psa/var/cache/*
# service sw-engine restart
