1. What's Included in This Update

The new packages for Virtuozzo 6.0 provide new features and stability fixes for Virtuozzo and Virtuozzo Storage.

2. New Features

  • CPU Pools for High Availability clusters. (#PSBM-21735) A CPU pool is a set of nodes with equal CPU features, enabling live migration of virtual machines and Containers between nodes of the CPU pool.

  • VirtIO network adapter emulation. (#PSBM-29162) The VirtIO network adapter can now be used in virtual machines. It can be enabled with the prlctl set --adapter-type virtio command.

3. Bug Fixes

  • After updating to Virtuozzo 6.0 Update 9, Containers and virtual machines could fail to start if an outdated kernel was in use (version 2.6.32-042stab094.7 or older). (#PSBM-32497)

  • Disk information disappeared from pstorage top/stat output after updating to Virtuozzo 6.0 Update 9. (#PSBM-32849)

  • cpupools threw an error on the Intel Xeon E5-2630 v3 processor. (#PSBM-32850)

  • Online migration of a running Container with pmigrate or vzmigrate could leave it in the 'invalid' state on the source node after successful migration. (#PSBM-32870)

4. Obtaining the Update

You can download and install the update using the yum utility included in the Virtuozzo 6.0 distribution.
