Symptoms

  • A hardware node stops responding (hangs)

  • Node crashes with the following dmesg messages:

Cause

Such message indicates a hardware malfunction.

Resolution

In case if SOCKETID is the same for all errors, try to switch CPU modules, to see if SOCKETID will change, this will point on a faulty CPU module.

Contact the hardware vendor in order to replace the faulty hardware.
