Under certain circumstances, PStorage cluster get "freezing" when "rm-cs" is called.
Read\write speed to the cluster storage slows down.
- virtual machines can get into PAUSED state until replication completes.
Chunk removing increases replication load to the nodes in cluster.
This behavior will be optimized in scope of the product issue PSBM-31616 to coordinate replication speed with the cluster activity.
It is suggested to perform
rm-cs operations in the maintenance window when IO load is low.
In case if it is needed to decrease replication load, the minimum replication limit may be set to a lower value, e.g.:
# pstorage -c pcs01 get-attr /pstorage/pcs01 |grep replicas connected to MDS#5 replicas=3:2 # pstorage -c pcs01 set-attr -R /pstorage/pcs01 replicas=3:1
