How to modify default PrivateTemp directory?

The following steps can be used to set D:\PrivateTemp\ as PrivateTemp directory:

  1. Create a backup of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\PLESK\PSA Config\Config.

  2. Set HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\PLESK\PSA Config\Config\DumpTempDir value to D:\PrivateTemp\ instead of C:\Program Files (x86)\Parallels\Plesk\PrivateTemp\.

  3. Create folder D:\PrivateTemp.

  4. Set the same permissions for D:\PrivateTemp as specified for C:\Program Files (x86)\Parallels\Plesk\PrivateTemp\.

  5. Restart Plesk Management service.

Additional information

This directory is needed for Plesk to save sessions (when someone logges in to Plesk), Plesk accelerator (folder a,b,c etc.), backup logs and files, other temporary files. These files can be deleted while no backups or scheduled tasks are running, but PrivateTemp directory itself should not be deleted.
