atmail webmail login page is showing the error below:

Error: Password file could not be found


There is no atmail database or package is corrupted.


  1. Check whether atmail database is present:

    # mysql -Ns -uadmin -p`cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow` -e"SHOW DATABASES" | grep atmail
  2. Remove and install atmail via autoinstaller:

    # /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/autoinstaller

    or using Plesk:

    Tools & Settings > Updates and Upgrades
