After installation of Plesk (version 9.5.4 - 10.4.4) with MSSQL 2005, upgrading Plesk to 11.5, backing it up and, then, restoring (databases should be backed up in native format), database content is not restored:

Warning: domain "domain.tld"

Failed deployment of database thevineking (domain domain.tld)

psadumpagent.InformationalException: Unable to restore MS-SQL database 'db_name' to MS-SQL server 'localhost'. Error info:

Unable to obtain MS-SQL Data path. ---> System.Exception: Unable to obtain MS-SQL Data path.

This is Plesk internal issue PPPM-1188, which has been fixed in Plesk version 12.0.8.

Upgrade to the latest Plesk version.

Alternatively, the following can be done to fix the issue:

  1. Back up the following files:

    • "%plesk_bin%\psadumpagent.dll"

    • "%plesk_bin%\psabackupcommon.dll"

    • "%plesk_bin%\psacommon.dll"

    • "%plesk_bin%\dbbackup.exe"
  2. Replace backed up files with the attached ones:
