Fedora 20 or 21 is installed inside a Virtuozzo virtual machine.

systemd logwatch report contains the following warning:

WARNING: lvmetad is running but disabled Restart lvmetad before enabling it

Some LVM operations do not work, e.g.:

# vgimportclone --basevgname VG_BCP /dev/mapper/backup1p2

LVM cache daemon is on by default in Fedora 20 and 21:

# grep "use_lvmetad =" /etc/lvm/lvm.conf
use_lvmetad = 1

Turn LVM cache daemon off by setting use_lvmetad = 0 in /etc/lvm/lvm.conf. Then restart VM or execute the following commands in VM to restart the services:

# systemctl stop lvm2-lvmetad
# systemctl restart lvm2-monitor
