Starting from Update 7
pstorage top command allows to view the disk info provided by
smartctl tool installed along with Virtuozzo storage.
However, after pressing 'd' to switch to the disks table, not all disks in cluster are listed
pstorage top command relies on
smartctl output which is different for SATA and SCSI disks or disks attached to a raid controller.
pstorage top supports disk monitoring only for SATA disks.
For example, the following
smartctl output cannot be parsed by pstorage monitoring script:
# smartctl -A -i /dev/sdb smartctl 5.43 2012-06-30 r3573 [x86_64-linux-2.6.32-042stab102.9] (local build) Copyright (C) 2002-12 by Bruce Allen, http://smartmontools.sourceforge.net Smartctl open device: /dev/sdb failed: DELL or MegaRaid controller, please try adding '-d megaraid,N'
As result, corresponding disk will be omitted in
This behavior recognized as product issue #PSBM-31421
S.M.A.R.T disk monitoring support for other disk types will be implemented in one of the future Virtuozzo Storage Updates.
