Virtuozzo network adapter has name with number, for example

SWsoft Virtual Network Adapter #2

If SWsoft Virtual Network Adapter was reinstalled ever before its name will be different - number of adapter installation will be added. Due to product issue #PCWIN-22546 vznetif driver fails to operate when Virtuozzo network adapter name is changed.

This behavior will be corrected in one of future product updates.

Virtuozzo network adapter should be renamed to SWsoft Virtual Network Adapter

  1. Ensure that SWsoft Virtual Network Adapter #X is present in the Network adapters list of the Device manager on the node.

  2. Disable SWsoft Virtual Network Adapter #X in Device Manager
  3. Download psexec from sysinternals

  4. Open command prompt, navigate to the folder where psexec is located and run

     psexec -s \\localhost reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\NET\0000" /f /v FriendlyName /t REG_SZ /d "SWsoft Virtual Network Adapter"
  5. Enable SWsoft Virtual Network Adapter in Device Manager restart vznetflt and vznetif services or reboot the node

    net stop vznetif
    net stop vznetflt
    net start vznetflt
    net start vznetif
