A container fails to be mounted, the following errors are observed:
C:\Users\Administrator>vzctl mount 101 Windows API function call 'RegUnLoadKey' failed, code 0x57 vz101 Windows API function call 'RegUnLoadKey' failed, code 0x57 vz101 Windows API function call 'RegUnLoadKey' failed, code 0x57 vz101 Cannot mount registry for container 101: Insufficient system resources
Mounting the container disk image reveals a huge registry file (e.g. 'machine' or 'user') inside C:\vzquota directory of the container.
Some software bloated the registry inside the container, and it becomes impossible to load it:
C:\Users\Administrator>reg load HKLM\temphive C:\vz_temp\vzquota\machine ERROR: Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service.
Restore the bloated file (e.g.
C:\vzquota\machine) from one of the backups after checking its size inside of them.
If there's no backup available with the required file, there's no easy solution to restore the container functionality. The only remaining option is to put the default registry of an empty container, which will allow to start it, but rendering the software inside inoperable.
