Symptoms

After configuring SNMP services on a hardware node, snmpwalk gives a timeout querying Virtuozzo MIBs:

# snmpwalk -m SWSOFT-VIRTUOZZO-MIB -v 1 -c public localhost .1.3.6.1.4.1.26171.1.1
    SWSOFT-VIRTUOZZO-MIB::vzHWID.0 = STRING: "75ca9c6c-cab1-2843-8500-5329218e2045"
    SWSOFT-VIRTUOZZO-MIB::vzVersion.0 = STRING: 4.0.0
    SWSOFT-VIRTUOZZO-MIB::vzLicenseStatus.0 = STRING: ACTIVE
    SWSOFT-VIRTUOZZO-MIB::vzEnvID.9672 = Gauge32: 9672
    SWSOFT-VIRTUOZZO-MIB::vzEnvEid.9672 = STRING: "7249afd5-898e-de44-becc-edba7691a9b9"
    SWSOFT-VIRTUOZZO-MIB::vzEnvType.9672 = STRING: virtuozzo
    SWSOFT-VIRTUOZZO-MIB::vzEnvName.9672 = STRING: amesh.test
    SWSOFT-VIRTUOZZO-MIB::vzEnvDescription.9672 = STRING:

    SWSOFT-VIRTUOZZO-MIB::vzEnvState.9672 = INTEGER: running(6)
    SWSOFT-VIRTUOZZO-MIB::vzEnvTransition.9672 = INTEGER: none(0)
    Timeout: No Response from localhost

Cause

Latest version of net-snmp-5.5 was not supported in earlier versions of Parallels Virtual Automation. The issue was fixed in Parallels Virtual Automation 6.1 Update 1 (6.0-2695).

Resolution

Install PVA Agent updates:

# pva-setup --install

Note: updating PVA Agent doesn't bring interruption to virtual environment services.
