When trying to access Plesk via http om 8443 port it should redirect to https.

Instead it returns a '400 Bad Request' error.

Software issue PPP-3580. It has been fixed in Plesk 12.

Add the following line into /etc/sw-cp-server/conf.d/plesk.conf

    error_page 497 https://$host:$server_port$request_uri;

For example:

server {
                listen 8443 ssl;
                listen 8880;
                include conf.d/*;

                ssl_certificate /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/httpsd.pem;
                ssl_certificate_key /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/httpsd.pem;

                include conf.d/*;
                include conf.d/*;
                include conf.d/*;
                include conf.d/*;
                error_page 497 https://$host:$server_port$request_uri;
