A backup cannot be attached to a Debian 6 container: command to attach a backup finishes successfully, but it is not available inside a container:

[root@vz ~]# prlctl set 101 --backup-add {a20e315a-4d09-42f3-bc50-2853cf57efa8} --disk private.tib
Creating hdd1 (+) sata:0 image='backup:///{a20e315a-4d09-42f3-bc50-2853cf57efa8}/private.tib' backup='{a20e315a-4d09-42f3-bc50-2853cf57efa8}' disk='private.tib'

Please note that any data written to the raw disk image will be lost when the image is detached.
The CT has been successfully configured.

[root@vz ~]# vzctl exec 101 "ls -l /dev/ploop*"
brw------- 1 root root 182, 269409 Feb 13 21:57 /dev/ploop16838p1

Absence of the udevd service in Debian 6 prevents backup devices to be attached to these containers.

It is recommended to upgrade guest operating system to Debian 8. If the upgrade is not a option for some reason, use the workaround described below.

Enter into affected containers and perform the following steps:

root@localhost:/# mkdir /devtmpfs
root@localhost:/# echo "devtmpfs /devtmpfs devtmpfs rw,nosuid,mode=755 0 0" >> /etc/fstab
root@localhost:/# mount /devtmpfs

From now, attached backup will be available in the /devtmpfs directory.
