After installing Internet Explorer 11 on a Virtuozzo containers for Winwdows node, the Local Group Policy Editor in newly created containers returns the following error:

Resource '$(string.Advanced_EnableSSL3Fallback)' referenced in attribute displayName could not be found
File C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions\inetres.admx, line 795, column 308

This is a known Internet Explorer 11 issue, not related to Virtuozzo containers for Windows functionality.

  1. Download Administrative Templates for Internet Explorer and unpack it to C:\temp\KB2841134 on the node
  2. Replace inetres.admx and inetres.adml for your system locale. For example, if Internet Explorer uses the Japanese locale, replace the files C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions\inetres.admx and C:\Windows\PolicyDefinitions\ja-jp\inetres.adml:

    C:\> robocopy C:\temp\KB2841134\ja-jp %SystemRoot%\PolicyDefinitions\ja-jp\ inetres.adml /B
    C:\> robocopy C:\temp\KB2841134\ %SystemRoot%\PolicyDefinitions\ inetres.admx /B
