A container backup fails with the error:

Can't initialize new backup: Failed to create directory '' - Cannot create a file when that file already exists.

The target directory for backups is set to an SMB share:

C:\Users\Administrator>vzabackup --view-folder localhost
path = \\\backups

The following message can be found in C:\vzlog\PVA\Agent\%date%-vzagent:

T=18:25:40:733; L=(err); PID=85032; TID=1598c; P=VZLBackupManagerLocal [VZL::doMountLocation] [VZL::doMountLocation] The backup folder '\\\vzwin' doesn't exist

The remote host, where the backups are stored, is inaccessible over the network.

Check the availability of the server, storing backups.

Alternatively, change the backup storage to a local path:

vzabackup --set-folder localhost --backup-folder-path C:\vz\backups
