After migration to Plesk 12, the access rights to databases have changed: a newly created user does not have db_owner role enabled.

Since Plesk version 12 MSSQL users created through Plesk interface are not provided with db_owner role for security reasons.

Use either of the following methods to resolve the issue:

  1. Go to Tools & Settings > Database Servers > Settings and enable Grant the ALTER DATABASE permission to all Microsoft SQL Server database users option.

  2. CLI command:

    %plesk_dir%\bin\server_pref.exe --update -grant-alter-database-to-mssql-users true

Note: to fix permissions and roles of all MS SQL users, run the following command:

%plesk_bin%\repair.exe --update-mssql-users-permissions
