How to disable e-mail notifications about banned IP address from Fail2Ban?

Notifications can be disabled for each jail separately in Plesk > Tools & Settings > IP Address Banning (Fail2Ban) > Jails > <jail_name> > Change Settings. Remove from Action section lines like:

sendmail[dest="root", sender="fail2ban", sendername="Fail2Ban", name="default"]
sendmail-common[dest="root", sender="fail2ban", sendername="Fail2Ban"]

Or disable notifications server-wide by commenting out actionban section in /etc/fail2ban/action.d/sendmail.conf and /etc/fail2ban/action.d/sendmail-common.conf files.

disable fail2ban notifications

fail2ban e-mail notification configuration file is being overwritten so changes made directly to the config file have no effect. we need to know how to disable fail2ban e-mail notifications using the plesk panel or how to properly save changes to the config (and stopping plesk from overwriting it)
