Some sites are slow to open in browser, or do not displayed at all
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
Ping firstly goes to the backnet interface
c:\>ping www.microsoft.com Pinging www.microsoft.com [126.96.36.199] with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 10.124.45.151: Destination host unreachable. Reply from 188.8.131.52: bytes=32 time=30ms TTL=61 Reply from 184.108.40.206: bytes=32 time<1ms TTL=61 Reply from 220.127.116.11: bytes=32 time=6ms TTL=61 Ping statistics for 18.104.22.168: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 0ms, Maximum = 30ms, Average = 12ms
Incorrect interface priority
c:\>netsh interface ipv4 show interfaces Idx Met MTU State Name --- --- ----- ----------- ------------------- 2 10 1500 connected venet0 1 50 4294967295 connected Loopback Pseudo-Interface 1 3 10 1500 connected venet1
In the example above, venet0 and venet1 have the equal metrics but priority of venet0 is higher due to lower index.
The browser is firstly waiting for a response from DNS servers of backnet interface. When accessing a web site with a lot of attached redirection links it may not be displayed due to timeout.
