Unable to access websites. The error is shown:

Previously nginx was enabled on server and apache is configured to listen 7080, 7081 ports.

 # httpd -S | grep 7080| wc -l

It is down and it is not possible to start it:

/etc/init.d/nginx status
nginx is stopped
# /etc/init.d/nginx start
Not starting nginx as it is disabled in config

This command shows that nginx is enabled:

# /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/nginxmng -s

Websites are switched to nginx, but it is disabled in configuration.

For CentOS, RedHat:

# cp -a /etc/sysconfig/nginx.rpmsave /etc/sysconfig/nginx

For Debian, Ubuntu:

Edit /etc/default/nginx and set NGINX_ENABLED=yes

If steps above were not helped, do the following:

  1. Disable nginx proxy using this command:

        # /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/nginxmng -d
  2. Enable it again:

        # /usr/local/psa/admin/bin/nginxmng -e
  3. Make sure that it is running:

        # /etc/init.d/nginx status
        nginx (pid 4135) is running...
