The message “Can't distribute on HN with installed Cygwin” appears during migration in the p2v migrator wizard.

The Virtuozzo p2v wizard uses certain Cygwin components in order to perform the actual migration of the physical server. Thus, the specific version of the Cygwin's DLL and the registry settings must be temporary installed on the Hardware Node (HN) that will receive this physical server.

1. Rename the Windows registry key on the Physical server:

HKLM \SOFTWARE\Cygnus Solutions\Cygwin

(ie press F2 and change Cygwin to Cygwin.bak)

2. Repeat the migration process (press Back and then Next), which should be performed with no warning messages

3. After migration is complete, please do the following (for the resulting VE and for the source physical Host if you still want to use it):
-  Start the resulting VE
-  Remove the SWAgent from it through the Add/Remove Programs
-  Change the Cygwin registry settings back to the original ones:
HKLM \SOFTWARE\Cygnus Solutions\Cygwin

rename it to; then rename Cygwin.bak to Cygwin.
By doing this, your Cygwin installation will be returned to original state.
