  1. Email notifications from Plesk services (Backupmanager, Cronmanager, Wordpress Updatemanager etc.) are sent with a wrong sender.

In Tools & Settings > Mail Server Settings > Mail Queue sender is shown as:

    "MAILER-DAEMON@root"@example-domain (Mail Delivery System)
  2. OS is Ubuntu or Debian

File /etc/mailname does not contain FQDN:

# cat /etc/mailname

  1. Add fully qualified domain name (FQDN) to /etc/mailname:

    # hostname --fqdn > /etc/mailname
  2. Restart Postfix:

    # service postfix restart

NOTE: /etc/mailname is a Debian specific modification. Use the link for your reference.
