When trying to tail some log file the following error is shown:

# tail -fn0 /usr/local/psa/admin/logs/panel.log
tail: cannot watch `/usr/local/psa/admin/logs/panel.log': No space left on device

There are fixed number of filesystem watches in Linux. Sometimes all of them can be used by some processes and you cannot use tail -f any more.

Check current values for filesystem watches:

# sysctl fs.inotify.max_user_watches
fs.inotify.max_user_watches = 8192

Increase fs.inotify.max_user_watches:

# sysctl -w fs.inotify.max_user_watches=16384
fs.inotify.max_user_watches = 16384

Run tail -f:

# tail -f /usr/local/psa/admin/logs/panel.log
