For PHP 7.0 in Plesk 12.5 on Debian 8 in /opt/plesk/php/7.0/etc/php.ini session path directive is set to /var/lib/php5:

session.save_path = "/var/lib/php5"

Under Plesk > Subscription > domain.tld > PHP Settings session.save_path is the same:

session.save_path = "/var/lib/php5"

As the result PHP sessions can not be created.

This is is a software issue with internal id #PPPM-3880.

The issue was fixed in Plesk 12.5 MU #19.

Install the latest microupdates using the following command:

/usr/local/psa/admin/bin/autoinstaller --select-product-id plesk --select-release-current --reinstall-patch --install-component base

Please note that the fix will be applied for unchanged php.ini on upgrade from 7.0.1 (7.0.0) and not applied for the changed file. All new domains will be created with correct session.save_path.

Also the fix will not be applied for existing domains on PHP 7 until subscription's PHP settings are not updated.
