Named writes the following errors in /var/log/messages

    Jan 17 13:48:40 server_name named[2263]: lame server resolving
    '' (in ''?):


A "lame server" warning means that the name servers specified as authoritative in this domain's zone are not actually authoritative. If it is your domain, then check the name servers the domain is registered with using the "whois" utility as described in the article 765. Compare them with the NS records in the zone; they should be the same. In general, such warnings do not affect named functioning and can be ignored.
