  • Applies to:
  • Plesk for Windows
  • Plesk Sitebuilder for Windows

Below given a short instructions how to make Plesk find SiteBuilder installed on the different server:

1. On Plesk server it is necessary to find the registry branch

and define the value USE_WSB_VERSION (REG_SZ) to the proper version of installed SiteBuilder.

According to this information Plesk 'recognize' that SiteBuilder is installed and has specified version.

After that SiteBuilder should appear in Plesk, Server, Components Management page.

2.  Following values should be also specified:

These are remote host, port, admin login and password (or reseller info) correspondently .
You may also specify USE_WSB_SCHEME value if you would like to use https protocol instead of http.

3. It is very important to note that by default Sitebuilder architecture keeps all the web-services closed for all the IP addresses that are not equal to Therefore in SiteBuilder IIS settings (IIS Manager, Web-Sites, Site Builder Web Site) find
ServiceFacade folder and specify the IP-address of the server with Plesk by the following path: ServiceFacade right-click, Properties, Directory security, IP address and domain name restrictions, Edit

4. If you would like to use SiteBuilder for a multitude of Plesk interfaces you need to create Reseller account in SiteBuilder and specify the following parameters as for resellers login and password - USE_WSB_LOGIN and USE_WSB_PASSWORD.

Also please specify USE_WSB_RESELLER_MODE as 'true'.

In this case Plesk will create SiteBuilder accounts with RESELLERNAME_ prefix. This allows to differentiate users created in Sitebuilder by different Plesk servers.
