Unable to login to container by RDP even Terminal server is running, port 3389 port is not listened. There are no any firewalls or IPSec polices enabled. No any error in container Event Log (if we connect remotely)


Possible reason of such behavior could be that the service “Terminal Server Device Redirector” was disabled in Computer management, Device manager, System Devices.


When disabling ANY device in this snap-in the following key created:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\vzXXXX\MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Hardware Profiles\0001\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum\ROOT\***SERVICE NAME*** \0000

CSConfigFlags DWORD Value 1

***Service NAME**  is real (not displayed) name of the service.  For  “Terminal Server Device Redirector” it is RDPDR

After the next reboot CurrentControlSet001 is moving in CurrentControlSet and device is disabled.

To fix the problem it is necessary to change

CSConfigFlags DWORD Value  to 0

and restart the  container.

The same is actual for all disabled\enabled devices.
