Virtuozzo is installed on VMware ESX virtual machine which is used as host.

All VEs work properly in host routed mode, however they cannot reach a network outside of VMware host in case of bridged mode using.

Bridged mode in Virtuozzo exposes VE MAC addresses to the outside world from VM. And by default VMware network security settings prohibit that (it is impossible to send a packet from VM network card if the source MAC address differs from one assigned by VMware).

This setup is common for most Hypervisor solutions.

To make it possible to use VE bridged mode on ESX server as a host system it is necessary to do the following:

1. Change VMware security property of the virtual switch port to Promiscuous mode - Accept.

2. Make sure that MAC address of ESX Server adapter is never changed.
