ATTENTION! This article is about an outdated version of Parallels Power Panel. Refer to this article for the latest version of PVA:
114629 [How To][PVA] How do I change the limit for the number of backups that can be made through Parallels Power Panel (PPP)?

To configure the number of backups that can be made, please log in to PIM and go to the Backups area. There you can configure Number of Backups Available From Parallels Power Panel.

This can also be done through the Parallels Management Console:

1. Open PMC, and make sure that the Node is registered in native mode.

To make sure, click on the Node. You should not see the following message in the right pane of PMC:

"The Virtuozzo software on this Hardware Node has been upgraded to version 4.0.0. To get access to new Virtuozzo 4.0.0 management capabilities, please reregister this Node in Parallels Management Console."

2. If you do not see the above message, right-click on the Node and select Tasks > Manage Parallels Agent Configuration.

3. By expanding the configuration tree (backupm > configuration > backupm_config), you will find the pe_backups_limit value, which is the number of allowed backups per container.

Note: The pe_backups_limit value may not exist. If this is the case, it is necessary to make a minor change in the Node's backup configuration; then the value will appear for configuration.

Alternatively, this number can be customized by editing the vzagent configuration file on the Hardware Node:

After opening this file for editing, search for the following part of the code:

a number of lines...
a number of lines...

The value of the <pe_backups_limit> element denotes the number of allowed backups ("1" is the default value). As needed, edit this value and save the file.

After you have appropriately edited the file, you will need to restart the vzagent by executing the following command on the Hardware Node:
vzctl exec 1 sc stop vzcpd &vzctl exec 1 sc start vzcpd
net stop vzaop &net start vzaop
