More Information

Since Plesk 8.1, Plesk has been shipped with a utility that can be used for executing simple queries in the Plesk database, independently of the Plesk database engine.

The utility is called "dbclient.exe." It is located in the directory %plesk_bin%.

Here are examples of the utility's usage:

SELECT

"%plesk_bin%\dbclient.exe" --direct-sql --sql="select * from misc where val='test'"

INSERT

"%plesk_bin%\dbclient.exe" --direct-sql --sql="insert into misc values ('test','test')"

UPDATE

"%plesk_bin%\dbclient.exe" --direct-sql --sql="update misc set param='test1' where val='test' "

DELETE

"%plesk_bin%\dbclient.exe" --direct-sql --sql="delete from misc where val='test'"

ALTER

"%plesk_bin%\dbclient.exe" --direct-sql --sql="ALTER TABLE DatabaseServers ADD COLUMN parameters_id int;"

CREATE TABLE

"%plesk_bin%\dbclient.exe" --direct-sql --sql="create table `table1` (`id` int, `active` text(50), PRIMARY KEY (`id`))"
