When I open Parallels Virtual Automation, Power Panel or Parallels Management Console current usage of performance counters are shown as n/a (not available).

In PVA agent logs you can explore the following errors:

T=08:46:32:505; L=(err); PID=713; TID=7fe9cdd3c740; P=MNStub [doHandleOk] id=120, start=1385365588, error=No data from perf_mon
T=08:48:32:406; L=(err); PID=713; TID=7fe9cdd3c740; P=MNStub [doHandleOk] id=120, start=1385365707, error=No data from perf_mon

The reason of the problem is broken Virtuozzo counters.

To repair counters, please follow these instructions:

  1. Rename the following registry branch to old:

  2. Create temp folder C:\TEMP on the node

  3. Extract the following files from file:

    • vzperfsetup.exe (for the corresponding platform)
    • VzCtrNm.h
    • VzPerf.Ini
    • VzPerf.Reg
  4. Run regedit.exe VzPerf.Reg

  5. Run vzperfsetup.exe /l VzPerf.Ini 1

  6. Restart VZAgent service:

    C:\>net stop vzaop & net start vzaop
  7. After that, open perfmon on the node and validate that Virtuozzo object is present.
