Parallels Plesk Panel version 8.x does not allow to create clients with login name admin however creation of client with login name like Admin (with capital letters) is still possible. Will this cause any problem in Parallels Plesk Panel?

If Parallels Plesk Client with login name like Admin exists then after upgrade to Parallels Plesk Panel version 9.x or higher administrator (admin) will not be able to work with the Control Panel.

It is needed to rename login of the client before starting the upgrade. You may do that through

Parallels Plesk Panel -> Clients -> CLIENT -> Edit ->

Change the login name and click OK to confirm the change.

Alternatively client account with such login can be found and login is changed to some other in Parallels Plesk database, for example:

mysql> SELECT id, cname, pname, login FROM clients WHERE login LIKE 'admin';
+----+----------- +------------+-------+
| id | cname      | pname      | login |
| 21 | ClientName | ClientName | Admin |

mysql> UPDATE clients SET login = 'otherlogin' where ID = 21;
