1. Subject:

Updated packages for Parallels Infrastructure Manager 4.0 providing user-level tools fixes for the following functionality:
- installing Parallels Infrastructure Manager updates
- managing Container samples
- managing Container security
- working with Microsoft clusters

2. Problem description:

- Parallels Infrastructure Manager may show an old hostname for a Container running the Windows operating system if the hostname was changed from inside the Container.

- It may be impossible to create a new Container sample if a search domain is specified during the sample creation.

- Parallels Business Automation may not display changes in the Container status if these changes were made manually.

- Searching a Container by its IP address in Parallels Infrastructure Manager may fail if the IP address is assigned to a bridged network adapter.

- For migration tasks, Parallels Infrastructure Manager may incorrectly display the names of the Source and Destination Nodes.

- Sometimes, it may be impossible to log in to Plesk with the 'admin' user name.

- When trying to get a large list of users from an external Active Directory database, Parallels Infrastructure Manager may report the following error: "System error 309: packet size exceeds the limit".

All Parallels Infrastructure Manager 4.0 users are advised to update their tools packages.

3. Affected components description:

-  Parallels Infrastructure Manager is a tool designed for managing Hardware Nodes and all Containers residing on them with the help of a standard Web browser on any platform.

- Parallels Management Console is a Virtuozzo Containers management and monitoring tool with graphical user interface. It is used to control individual Hardware Nodes and their Containers. Management Console is cross-platform and runs on both Microsoft Windows and Linux workstations.

- Parallels Power Panel is a means for administering individual Containers with the help of a standard Web browser on any platform.

4. Bug fixes:

#118666 - Hostname is not updated in Parallels Infrastructure Manager and Parallels Management Console if changed from inside the Container.
#121229 - Application error occurs while creating Container sample with the specified search domain.
#113227 - Some antivirus software (e.g. DrWeb) recognizes VZAgent installer script as virus.
#99229   - VZAgent resource fails during update.
#99900   - Fix Parallels Infrastructur Manager update installation (remove files).
#119637 - Container status doesn`t change in Parallels Business Automation.
#114280 - IP address search does not work for bridged network adapters.
#98036   - Incorrect Source and Destination Nodes names in migration task details.
#100580 - No Plesk login is possible when offline management is on.
#121607 - Control Panel binaries do not change during update installation.

5. Obtaining and installing:


Important note:
On a Windows Hardware Node, do not install this update unless VZU400006 (Parallels Virtuozzo Containers update 6) is installed.

On the Hardware Node, run the Virtuozzo Update wizard  (vzupdate.exe) and follow the instructions. This wizard will install the latest Parallels Infrastructure Manager updates and hotfixes in the correct sequence.

The update does not require Virtuozzo restart or system reboot.

You can also download and install this tools update using the vzup2date utility included in the Virtuozzo Containers 4.0 distribution.

First, use the "rpm -Fhv" command to install the new Virtuozzo Containers tools packages.

Then make sure that the Service Container on the Node is running and issue the following command:
# vzsveupgrade --skip-client -d <path_to_this_update_directory>

The update does not require Virtuozzo restart or system reboot.
