Parallels Plesk Panel version 9.0.1 is installed.

The following error occurs when you try to add a new firewall rule through Parallels Plesk Control Panel {Home -> Settings -> Manage Firewall Rules -> Edit Firewall Configuration -> Add Custom Rule -> OK}:

Error: Could not activate firewall configuration:
proc_close() failed: mktime() [<a href='function.mktime'>function.mktime</a>]:
It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings.

How do I activate my firewall rule?

The problem is a known one. It will be fixed in a future update of Parallels Plesk Panel.

As an intermediate solution, you may extract he shell script for firewall activation on the activation step.

To extract the script, log in to Parallels Plesk Panel as the administrator and go to {Home -> Modules -> Firewall -> Edit Firewall Configuration -> Activate}. Click on the {Preview} button to see the script. Run it manually on the server.
