Symptoms

You are using Parallels Plesk Panel version 9.0.x on the SuSE or Debian operating system.

The following error is shown when clicking on a backup object on the Plesk Backup Manager page {Home -> Backup Manager -> BACKUP.NAME}:

ERROR: PleskFatalException

Unable to find Backup dump object

0: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/backup/ui/backup.abstract-repository.item.php:59
    __backup__abstract_repository__item->getDump()
1:/usr/local/psa/admin/plib/backup/ui/backup.abstract-repository.item.restore.php:34
    __backup__abstract_repository__item__restore->accessItem(string 'GET', NULL
null)
2: /usr/local/psa/admin/plib/UIPointer.php:596
    UIPointer->access(string 'GET')
3: /usr/local/psa/admin/htdocs/plesk.php:36

The backup was created through Plesk Backup Manager correctly and is verified as valid. However, it cannot be opened.

Resolution

The problem is specific to the SuSE and Debian operating systems; it will be fixed in a future update of Parallels Plesk Panel.

In code, backup objects are identified by hexadecimal numbers (0x83063f813a9435348f9c05095062c9eb) but they are compared as binary numbers ($var1 == $var2). Such comparison is invalid for SuSE and Debian, while it works for other RedHat-like operating systems.

The hotfix for Parallels Plesk Panel version 9.0.1 is in the attachment. To install it, run the following:

~# tar -zxvf backup_patch_plesk90.tar.gz -C $PRODUCT_ROOT_D
