Parallels Plesk Panel version 9.0.1 is running.

Open relay option is available on page Server-wide mail preferences {Home -> Mail Server Settings}:

Relay options

Relaying     [] open
             [] closed
             [] authorization is required:
                 [] POP3  lock time    Min
                 [] SMTP

How can I hide the option?

The issue is caused by empty file $PRODUCT_ROOT_D/var/root.controls.lock.
This may occur for example if upgraded from version 8.x to 9.0.x and not empty file $PRODUCT_ROOT_D/var/root.controls.lock existed before upgrade.
Same as on clean install or upgrade with empty file $PRODUCT_ROOT_D/var/root.controls.lock.

Upgrading procedure to version 9.0.x checks existence of the file and if the file is missing creates it with rule "/server/mail.php3:relay_open". This cause option open relay is hidden. It does not recreates or overwrite the file.

To hide the option put the rule to $PRODUCT_ROOT_D/var/root.controls.lock.

~# cat /usr/local/psa/var/root.controls.lock
