Parallels Plesk Panel version 8.6.0 is running and the latest update is installed.

DomainKeys spam protection is enabled in server-wide mail preferences {Server -> Mail -> Preferences -> DomainKeys spam protection}.

A message sent from the server is not delivered to the recipient, and the following error occurs in the maillog (/usr/local/psa/var/log/maillog):

Mar 12 08:36:31 <plesk server> qmail-remote-handlers[31812]: domainkeys-handler exited with status 31
Mar 12 08:36:31 <plesk server> qmail-remote-handlers[31812]: call_handlers: stop call handlers because handler 'dd51-domainkeys' not PASS (31)

How can I resolve the problem?

The problem is caused by incorrect permissions on the directory with the private key for DomainKeys, /etc/domainkeys. The permissions should be qmailq:root, 755.

Verify and correct the permissions with the commends chown and chmod:

~# chown qmailq:root /etc/domainkeys
~# chmod 755 /etc/domainkeys

The problem does not exist for Parallels Plesk Panel version 9.x. The structure of spam protection mail handlers has been changed since version 9.0.0.
