SymptomsKaspersky Antivirus cannot be started through Parallels Plesk Panel:
Modules -> Kaspersky AntiVirus: Kaspersky Anti-Virus Engine - “Start the service”
The following error is shown:
An error occured while starting Kaspersky Anti-Virus Engine: the license information is missing or no license key was found at the path specified in the configuration file: Active key not found!
And from the command line:
~# /etc/init.d/aveserver start
Could not load antiviral bases:  File not found
aveserver couldn't be started
The following message is shown in log file:

However valid license key for Kaspersky AntiVirus is installed in Parallels Plesk Panel as Additional Plesk License Key:
Plesk -> License Management -> Additional License Keys: KAV001234560000
And the key exists in KAV licenses directory:

CauseVirus definition databases are missing.
ResolutionIt is recommended to update the databases to resolve the problem. You may do that through Parallels Plesk Panel.
Login to the control panel as admin and update the databases:
Modules -> Kaspersky AntiVirus: KeepUp2Date - “Click here to update virus definitions”
The button allows to update virus definition databases, which are used in the process of checking for viruses.
Also you may configure interval for periodical update of antivirus databases.:
Modules -> Kaspersky AntiVirus -> KeepUp2Date: Update interval
